Meet and Greet

DAY 1

Afternoon: Arrive in Provence
Your driver meets you at Marseille Provence Airport (35 minutes to château) or Aix-en-Provence TGV Station (15 minutes to château). Upon arrival at Château Fonscolombe, receive your welcome goodie bag and settle into your luxurious accommodations.

 

Evening: Picnic Welcome Dinner at Château Fonscolombe
Savor an exquisite picnic at the château’s on-site gardens, showcasing seasonal Provençal ingredients. Toast to the week ahead with one complimentary glass of wine, then take an evening stroll through the lavender-scented grounds and a warm bath to relax you after your long journey.

DAY 2

Undestand the history behind wine

DAY 2

Morning:  Optional Morning Mindfulness Activity at 9.30AM. Breakfast until 11:00 AM – We start slowly here.

11:00 AM: Departure to Avignon.
Today’s excursion is tailored specifically to your wine History. We think it’s important you know where this sacred drink comes from.

  • Morning – Avignon: Discover the convents where the Pope and his followers developed the wine we drink today, including the Palace whereh lived.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a provencal style lunch at a local hotspot.
  • Afternoon – Chateaunuef du Pape Tasting: Visit the charming vinyard and monastery and taste the famous wine.

Throughout the day, enjoy stops at local markets, artisan producers, and scenic viewpoints with snacks and refreshments provided.

Evening: Dinner at the Hotel
Conclude your adventure with authentic Provençal cuisine back at the hotel for a relaxed evening (one glass of wine included).

DAY 3

Morning: Breakfast until 11:00 AM

Late Morning: Aix Market & Historical Walking Tour
Explore the vibrant morning market overflowing with fresh produce, flowers, olives, honey, and lavender. Continue through the Old Town with your guide, discovering hidden courtyards, Renaissance mansions, and historic fountains. Visit Cours Mirabeau, Saint-Sauveur Cathedral, and the Mazarin Quarter while learning about Aix’s rich history and its connection to Cézanne.

Afternoon: Cultural Activities & Free Time
Enjoy both included experiences:

  • Cézanne’s Atelier: Visit the master’s preserved studio, complete with his easel, brushes, and still-life objects (Approximately 1 hour with guided tour)
  • Rose & Marius Perfume Workshop: Create your own signature 50ml fragrance under expert guidance (Approximately 1.5 hours)

Evening: Michelin-Star Dinner in Aix

DAY 4

Morning: Breakfast until 11:00 AM

Late Morning: Scenic Drive & Picasso’s Château
Embark on a picturesque drive around Mont Sainte-Victoire, stopping at viewpoints that inspired countless artists. Visit Château de Vauvenargues, Pablo Picasso’s former estate (exterior visit and photos).

Afternoon: Domaine Sainte-Victoire Visit

Discover this boutique winery nestled at the foot of the legendary Mont Sainte-Victoire. Walk through vineyards with breathtaking mountain views, then taste 4-5 wines paired with artisan goat cheeses from a nearby fromagerie. Approximately 2 hours

Evening: Le Tholonet Village & Pétanque
Arrive in Cézanne’s and Churchill’s favorite village for an authentic Provençal experience. Try your hand at pétanque—the beloved boules game—with instruction from your guide.

Dinner: Traditional Bistro in Le Tholonet
Savor the atmosphere at a quant village bistro and watch life go by. You’ll probably be stuffed with cheese by this point so just a light evening meal is planned.

Morning: Breakfast until 11:00 AM

Late Morning: Domaine Paradis Wine Tasting
Visit this family-run estate to learn about organic farming and rosé production. Tour the vineyards and cellars, then taste 4-5 wines (signature rosé, crisp whites, elegant reds) paired with artisan cheeses on a sun-drenched terrace overlooking Mont Sainte-Victoire. Approximately 2 hours

 

Afternoon: Château La Coste – Art, Wine & Architecture
Experience this spectacular fusion of contemporary art, cutting-edge architecture, and award-winning wines. The estate features installations by Ai Weiwei, Louise Bourgeois, and Tadao Ando.

  • Guided tour of sculpture park and art pavilions
  • Free time to explore the grounds

7:00 PM: Dinner at Château La Coste

Mistral Winery: Make Your Own Wine

Morning: Breakfast until 11:00 AM

Late Morning to Afternoon: Wine Blending Workshop
Immerse yourself in the art of winemaking at Mistral Winery:

  • Estate Tour: Comprehensive walk through vineyards and production facilities
  • Blending Session: Learn about grape varietals (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre), taste individual wines, then experiment with proportions to create your ideal blend
  • Personalization: Your perfected blend is bottled.
  • Casino Experience : Enjoy wine with a twist – you’ll be gambling for tasters!
  • Take-Home: Sealed and packaged to bring home at week’s end

Midday: Picnic Lunch at the Winery
Dine al fresco among the vines with a curated selection of Provençal specialties—artisan breads, charcuterie, cheeses, fresh salads, seasonal fruit, and pastries, accompanied by Mistral’s wines.

Evening: Dinner at Mistral Winery
Gather for a farm-to-table dinner celebrating the day’s accomplishments and friendships formed throughout the week (one glass of wine included).

DAY 7

Relaxation & Reflection

SATURDAY

Morning: Breakfast until 11:00 AM – Late Check Out available or option to stay more days.

After five days of exploration, today is yours to rest and reflect. Enjoy the spa, swim in the heated pool, stroll through the olive groves, or simply relax on the terrace with a good book. This is your day to savor the château at your own pace, while reflecting on your experience.

Departure: Airport or TGV Transfer
